Vanessa ist 12 Jahre alt. Ihre Mutter verstarb vor drei Jahren an AIDS. Sie selbst ist ebenfalls HIV positiv. Sie nimmt Medikamente, doch ihre Gesundheit ist insgesamt nicht gut. Zudem hat sie Epilepsie. Seit dem Tod ihrer Mutter hatte Vanessa bei ihrer älteren Schwester gelebt. Bisher ist Vanessa kaum zur Schule gegangen, weil sie so oft krank und geschwächt war. Wir haben beschlossen, sie erst im Januar 2024 einzuschulen, wenn in Tansania wieder ein neues Schuljahr beginnt. Bis dahin soll sie sich bei uns einleben und körperlich zu Kräften kommen.
