Monica lebt seit Ende 2018 bei uns im Nikolaushaus. Im Alter von ungefähr 2 Jahren wurde sie ausgesetzt aufgefunden. Sie hatte einen großen Tumor am Auge. Der Tumor wurde zusammen mit dem Auge entfernt, das andere Auge war erblindet. Monica kam in ein Waisenhaus für Babys. Dieses Waisenhaus nimmt Kinder von 0-5 Jahren und vermittelt die Kinder danach weiter. Für Monica konnte jahrelang keine passende Einrichtung gefunden werden, bis sie schließlich zu uns kam. Monica spricht viel und kann sich sehr gut orientieren, aber leider zeigt sie auch autistisches Verhalten.
Monica has been living with us since December 2018. She was about 2 years old when she was found abandoned. She had a big tumor on one eye. The tumor had to be removed together with her eye and the remaining eye became blind. After receiving medical treatment Monica was admitted to a children’s home that cares for orphans ages 0-5 years. After that the children’s home finds a new home for the children. Sadly, no suitable home could be found for Monica for many years until she finally came to live with us. Monica talks quite a lot and she amazes everyone how well she finds her way around our house and compound. Unfortunately, she also shows some autistic behavior.
